Built from a lifelong love of building.

For Kristi Fisher, renovation has always been a family affair. Her dad, Mike Consolino, began teaching her about home improvement and construction as soon as she was big enough to hold a hammer. Those early lessons sparked a lifelong love of turning ideas into something you can see, touch, and call home.

When Kristi and Chris started dating in 2008, Mike welcomed Chris into the projects, too, sharing his knowledge of the trades and helping him learn along the way. Before long, building and improving things became a passion they shared.

Although Chris and Kristi both have careers outside construction, they come together over a simple belief: there’s always something worth making better. Whether they’re working on their own home or helping family and friends with theirs, they love the creativity, teamwork, and satisfaction that come with bringing a project to life.

The addition to their own home sparked the idea for Site/Story. A build has more to share than its final reveal: the progress, the decisions, and the people whose work makes it possible. They wanted a way for others to follow that journey while giving the contractors, suppliers, and professionals behind it the visibility they deserve.

Chris and Kristi believe the person cleaning the floors deserves the same respect as the person leading the company. That belief is at the heart of Site/Story: give credit where credit is due. No project reaches the finish line without the skill, effort, and care of every hand that touches it. From the first plans to the final cleanup, every contribution matters, and every contributor deserves to be seen.

Today, Chris and Kristi are launching Site/Story with their own home as the pilot project. It’s a personal beginning for a company built to help every project tell its story.
